The monasteries were amazing as well. Our tour guide spoke French/English fluently and was very knowledgeable and informative of the history. The hotel (3 star) was exceptional -- accommodations, food, staff, etc. The only suggestion I have would be to tell participants to pack swimming apparel as there was a pool at the hotel and we did not plan for this. Given the extreme temperatures, it would have been nice to take a swim…”
